Week St Mary Revel the special mid September date - 2005 Revel will be 17th September! |

Week St Mary Revel is a grand Family Fun Day in mid September. This is the occasion when our Harvest Queen is crowned and involves an afternoon parade, a crowning ceremony, fun fair, public tea etc. During the late afternoon there is a Spoof Sporting event of some kind and in the evening further celebrations with a torchlight procession, comfort bonfire, live music, disco, bar and barbecue, usually with further fun entertainment spectacle. 2004 saw an exercise bike endurance challenge, the year before we shaved the pub landlord's head for charity! Question is - what will 2005 hold ...? |

We take this Revel pretty seriously - seriously so that everyone can really have fun that is - please join us so we can spread the message that the Week St Mary Revel is seriously brilliantly great fun - just as it has been for so very many years !!! See also Scarecrow Festival - starting Wednesday ..........August 2005 for 8 days - the bulk of the money raised at the Scarecrow Festival goes into the Revel Fund PS complain to our webmaster here if you think this is taking too long - she will drop the size of the pics but we thought we would try it like this first! |
