Week St Mary Village

11 miles from Bude

Deep in winding lanes and rolling farmland, sleepy Week St Mary is full of interesting historic buildings, from its ancient college, church and castle-mound to the enigmatic moated remains of Penhallam Manor House.

A short walk from Ranelagh are the comprehensive post-office/general store, two pubs, swimming pool and playing field with children’s activity area and tennis courts. With all the north coast at your feet, outstanding beaches, stunning coastal scenery and many nearby attractions that will provide fun for all the family are literally within a few minutes drive.

• Our Churches

Both the parish church and the Methodist church have services every week and details can be found in the Week St Mary Magazine. Both churches are very welcoming

• Our Pubs

We have two pubs in the village.
The Green Inn at Week Green is a traditional village pub with a small restaurant, which is able to provide evening meals. The pub has a friendly atmosphere, outside seating area and usually holds a barbecue at weekends.
Treetops Inn is located off the main Square and offers the facilities available to its own holiday visitors to guests from other establishments. There is a large bar, outside seating, a heated outdoor swimming pool (small membership fee required), children’s play area, large screen TV etc. Bar meals are available and children are made most welcome.

• Our local Shop

Our local village Post Office can provide all the basic requirements and can often offer some slightly unusual fare as well. Local bacon, eggs and milk are stocked and there is a always a good range of fresh vegetables. The Post Office counter is able offers a variety of banking facilities. Jeff Roberts provides the sort of service a real local Post Office needs - it's a "Week St Mary" sort of thing - it's a local welcome!
